About

Hi, I’m Egemen Ertuğrul. I’m an XR researcher, software developer, and open-source enthusiast.

My research interests are at the intersection of human-computer interaction (HCI), applied machine learning (AML) and ubiquitous computing (Ubicomp). Particularly, novel multimodal interactions and accessible input modalities are my main areas of concern. I’m also a strong advocate of widespread and low-cost XR, and I believe that immersive technologies should be for everyone.

I develop practical applications that are powered by machine learning and multi-users for the web, desktop, and mobile platforms. I think it is safe for me to say that I really enjoy making the most out of the existing tools to build unique experiences.
